Wellbeing

You pour your heart and soul into your work, so we make sure your wellbeing is not forgotten

Every day you are the inspiration and hope for vulnerable individuals who might otherwise be overcome by the barriers they face in daily life.

Your unwavering positivity, energy and commitment is exceptional but we know it takes a lot to make a difference, day in and day out. So we promise to invest in you and provide support and resources, making sure that your own wellbeing is not forgotten.

Whether you need access to our Employee Assistance Programme, support with your mental health, or you’re just curious to find new ways to maintain your wellbeing, we’re committed to being here for you whenever you need us. Here’s just a few of the ways we pledge to support you.

Our Wellness Campaigns

The most effective way to raise awareness about wellbeing or to tackle an issue is to talk about it and to find solutions together as a team. At Salutem Care & Education we actively encourage our colleagues to discuss physical and mental wellbeing, to raise issues that are impacting them and to support each other in our work.

As part of this approach, we run wellness campaigns to provide information, resources and awareness on a variety of topics including:

  • Mental and physical wellbeing
  • Support and motivation during COVID-19
  • Working remotely and staying connected
  • Tackling stress and going home healthy
  • Mental Health Awareness Week and how to be kind to yourself and others

Employee Assistance Programme

We’ve developed a suite of resources to provide information, advice and support on the many different aspects of physical, mental and social wellbeing for our team.

The programme is accessible to all staff 24 hours a day, so that they can receive the most suitable support in their time of need.

Here are some of the resources you’ll have access to:

  • 24/7 confidential helpline
  • Critical incident and trauma support
  • Online health portal – a comprehensive library of wellbeing information such as anxiety, depression, debt, legal issues, bereavement, and relationships
  • Monthly newsletters and webinars filled with helpful advice and guidance

Mental Health at Work Commitment

Salutem Care & Education are committed to tackling stigma and ending discrimination around mental health.  We believe that no one should have to fear being treated differently because of a mental health problem.

We have signed the Mental Health at Work Commitment, a growing social movement and campaign to change the way people think and act about mental health problems. We have introduced a comprehensive action plan including promoting discussions on mental health to achieve lasting change within our workplace.

We’ve pledged that any member of our team with a mental health condition will always feel included and never discriminated against.
