About Mill Lane:

Whether you’re just taking the first steps into your career in Care, or are an experienced Support Worker, we have a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills at our outstanding home in Histon, Cambridge.

Mill Lane is a 5-bedroom bungalow in Histon, Cambridge, supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues to live an active and fulfilling lifestyle.

The bungalow is fully accessible. Each bedroom has its own en-suite and there are hoisting facilities located in the communal areas. The home also benefits from a conservatory and private garden with a decked area.

Mill Lane provides a care support partnership with the adults we support. We believe the people we support deserve large and colourful lives, that’s why we provide our care support workers with bespoke training tailored to the needs of the people we support.

Role Responsibilities:

Our Support Workers are the heroes of our workforce. They are the ones who overcome daily challenges to achieve amazing outcomes for the people we support. Each day will be different, and the main focus of your role is to enable those you support to have meaningful days, feeling empowered to live the life they love.

You will be part of a trained team of support staff supporting customers with all aspects such as:

  • demonstrating a warm, person centred and affirmative approach to people with learning disabilities
  • administering medication when required
  • personal care requirements i.e. feeding, bathing and dressing
  • helping with domestic tasks
