We have a fantastic opportunity for proactive individuals to join our Penhayes House team as Senior Support Workers and Day Support Workers. 

At our Exeter-based care home, we provide a care support partnership and safe and stimulating environments for adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and behaviours that challenge, through a range of positive support approaches. We put the people who use our service and our staff at the centre of everything we do, working in collaboration to ensure good outcomes for the people we support.

Responsibilities:

In these roles, you will help the people we support live their best lives, which includes being able to:

  • Demonstrate a warm, person centred and affirmative approach to people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health. 
  • Support other members of the team
  • Work within policies and procedures to administer medication as required
  • Put together and maintain comprehensive individual care plans and reports for the people we support to ensure all the necessary information on each person is kept in a meaningful and accessible way
  • Keep records and report and follow through on incidents as they arise
  • Help people using services perform activities of daily living such as bathing and using the toilet
  • Support our service users to achieve positive outcomes and to enable them to participate as full and active citizens in their local community

To ensure the highest quality of care for the people we support we will provide you with easily accessible training, including bespoke specialist training that reflects the needs of people using services and your personal development.
